Hi,
Can somebody give me advice on a good software program that recovers DATA from a FAT drive/ Or can fix my hard drive.
Windows fucked up my external hard drive without their being any problem with it.
So I always get the message when I put the drive on "Their are faults on your hard drive, do you wanna check your drive or not" so for once I put check the drive and now it's really fucked.. My pc slows down like a bitch when I run my external hard drive let alone I can't press on the icon of the drive or my pc just hangs..
Can somebody help me with this?

it's hard to recommend a data recovery Software (DRS) because I never used one... I'm worried it might be a physical problem with your HD.. then a DRS wouldn't help...

Windows fucked up the drive.. There's nothing wrong with it physically cuz that specific drive has 2 partitions and the other partition works just fine. So I don't think it's something physical.. I can't acces the partition not even with windows system tools..
I just managed to do a chkdsk in DOS but no good it says there are no problems found.. Everyhting is still intact on the partition only I can't acces it.
Maybe I've to copy the whole partition on to another drive in DOS

That might be your best bet...copy both partitions (to be safe ) reformat and move it back...
